A Shelter for Ukrainian Orphans

There are 100,000 orphans in Ukraine, abandoned by their parents, growing up in orphanages. These “warehouses for children” are the children’s “homes” until age 16 when they graduate. Then what? Thirty percent become addicted to drugs. Seventy percent of the boys end up on the street or in prison. Sixty percent of the girls turn to prostitution to survive. Ten percent commit suicide before their 18th birthday. 

These are the kids most of society considers too far gone to try to rescue. The staff of Last Bell Ministries disagrees. They’ve stepped up to provide a shelter where abandoned graduate orphans learn about the life-transforming love of Jesus Christ. And it’s working – one heart, one life at a time.
